CloudCasa by Catalogic has launched CloudCasa Disaster Recovery (CloudCasa DR) for Kubernetes, powered by HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000. This new solution expands CloudCasa’s Kubernetes data protection portfolio with orchestrated disaster recovery capabilities for Kubernetes applications and KubeVirt virtual machines deployed on HPE and hybrid cloud environments.
Built on CloudCasa’s existing backup and recovery support for HPE Kubernetes Service (HKS) clusters, CloudCasa DR leverages storage-based replication and automated recovery workflows to deliver stricter recovery targets compared with traditional backup-only methods.
Storage-Native Replication for Modern DR
Instead of relying on post-outage backup restoration, CloudCasa DR utilizes native replication of the HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 platform, enabling near-zero data loss and faster recovery for business-critical Kubernetes environments.
It combines Kubernetes-aware orchestration with array-native replication to automate cross-cluster and cross-site failover and failback, enabling low-manual workload recovery with consistent application states during disaster events.
Unified Protection for Containers and Virtual Machines
The platform protects both containerized applications and KubeVirt-based virtual machines, covering deployments on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and SUSE Virtualization.
It also supports bidirectional disaster recovery, namespace-level restoration, multi-tenant isolation and role-based access control, alongside comprehensive enterprise security features. Compatible platforms include HPE Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift, SUSE Rancher and mainstream Kubernetes distributions.
Expanded CloudCasa and HPE Strategic Collaboration
CloudCasa DR helps enterprises meet strict RPO and RTO requirements while eliminating delays from full backup restoration. “Enterprises running Kubernetes on HPE infrastructure need DR that achieves enterprise-grade RPO and RTO without slow full backup restores,” said Ryan Kaw, CloudCasa Vice President of Global Sales and Alliances. “By integrating Kubernetes-native orchestration with HPE Alletra B10000’s built-in replication, CloudCasa enables minute-level recovery of mission-critical applications and VMs across hybrid and multi-cluster environments.”
This launch deepens CloudCasa and HPE’s partnership, delivering a holistic Kubernetes data protection strategy covering backup, restoration and disaster recovery. Enterprises can also leverage HPE StoreOnce and X10000 Object Storage as backup targets for long-term data retention and recovery.
The joint solution targets enterprises demanding automated Kubernetes disaster recovery, hybrid cloud adaptability and robust protection for modern virtualization workloads.
