NVIDIA has launched NVIDIA DSX Ready, a certification program for partner products that comply with its official reference design specifications. NVIDIA emphasizes that power, cooling, water consumption, site conditions and grid limitations have become core constraints defining modern AI factory deployment scales. This program bridges standardized reference designs with certified hardware solutions, enabling AI factory builders to select fully compatible equipment and reduce overall integration risks.
Reference Design Alignment for Power and Liquid Cooling Systems
The NVIDIA DSX platform unifies the design and operational standards of AI factories covering compute, networking, power supply, thermal cooling, facility deployment and software layers. NVIDIA notes that isolated optimization of any single AI factory component may simply shift performance bottlenecks to other links, making full-stack hardware qualification essential. The program adopts differentiated certification processes for various product categories.
Battery energy storage system (BESS) vendors must complete standardized qualification tests and submit validation data for NVIDIA’s official review and approval within specified certification scopes. In contrast, cooling distribution unit (CDU) vendors utilize a self-certification toolkit to verify product compliance with NVIDIA’s functional requirements, with cooling system qualifications relying on vendor self-attestation rather than NVIDIA’s direct auditing.
Launch Partner Ecosystem and Expanding Product Categories
The DSX Ready program debuts with six founding partners covering two primary infrastructure categories. On the power front, battery energy storage solutions from Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution and Tesla have obtained official qualification, aligning with NVIDIA’s 800 VDC power architecture that entered mass production in August. For liquid cooling infrastructure, qualified CDU providers include LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv. NVIDIA plans to gradually expand the program to more infrastructure and software categories in subsequent updates.
